How it works
AOD 9604 is a peptide fragment of human growth hormone designed to stimulate fat loss. While human safety trials were successful, Phase 2b clinical trials failed to demonstrate significant weight loss over placebo, leading to the cessation of its pharmaceutical development.
It mimics the lipolytic action of the C-terminus of growth hormone, targeting beta-3 adrenergic receptors to increase fat breakdown without elevating IGF-1 or affecting blood sugar.
Safety
- Injection site reactions such as redness or pain
- Potential for mild headaches or chest tightness in rare cases
