Hexarelin (Examorelin)
Hexarelin is a synthetic hexapeptide GHRP derived from GHRP-6, studied for potent growth hormone release and cardioprotective effects via CD36 receptor activation. It reached Phase II clinical trials for GH deficiency and congestive heart failure before discontinuation in 2005. Research in humans, animal models, and cell culture supports GH secretion, myocardial protection, and neuroprotection, though human safety and long-term efficacy data remain limited.
