Omberacetam (Noopept)

Omberacetam is a synthetic nootropic dipeptide developed in Russia with some clinical trial data showing cognitive enhancement in patients with cerebrovascular or post-traumatic impairment. Mechanism involves conversion to active metabolite cycloprolylglycine (CPG) with BDNF/NGF upregulation and glutamatergic modulation. Human evidence is limited to small trials; most mechanistic data comes from animal and cellular studies.
