PE-22-28 (Mini-Spadin)

PE-22-28 is a synthetic heptapeptide and selective TREK-1 potassium channel antagonist derived from Spadin. Preclinical studies demonstrate rapid antidepressant-like effects within 4 days, hippocampal neurogenesis, and synaptogenesis in animal models—substantially faster than SSRIs. No human clinical trials exist; all efficacy and safety data are from animal studies.
