Thymulin
Thymulin is a 9-amino acid zinc-dependent metallopeptide hormone produced by thymic epithelial cells that modulates T-cell differentiation, enhances NK cell activity, and demonstrates anti-inflammatory properties through NF-κB and p38 MAPK inhibition. Serum levels decline with age; animal research shows promise for immune modulation, neuropathic pain, and inflammatory conditions. Human clinical trials remain limited.
